Freedom Passes
If you are aged 60 or over or have an eligible disability and your sole or principle home is a London borough, you can apply for a freedom pass to help you travel around London by bus, tube, train, London overground, docklands light railway and tram.
CHANGES FOR 2010 - new passes - all passes need to be renewed before 31st March 2010:
- all freedom passes must be renewed by 31st March 2010, freedom pass holders are urged to apply for their new pass well before this date. After 31st March 2010 existing passes will cease to work
- freedom passes issued from 2010 onwards will be valid for 5 years
- the new freedom passes will have an integrated photograph and are made by a specialised company. They will not be available over the counter but will be posted to applicants and this may take up to 10 working days
