Day Opportunities for people with learning disabilities
This service helps people develop skills and continue living at home if they wish to. It also helps people access a range of services and community facilities.
Services include:
- assessment
- care
- supervision and training
- support to participate in the community
- help fiding out about mainstream services
- support in using leisure activities
People who use the service are encouraged to plan for their immediate and future needs and have a key worker to help them with this.
We work with 70 people who have a learning disability and additional support needs. This may include:
- physical disability
- frail health
- mental healh problems
- autistic spectrum disorder
- dementia
- sensory impairments
- challenging behaviour
People can use this service for up to five whole days a week or on a planned basis for specific sessions or activities.
