Disabled Parking Bay

Disabled bays are clearly marked as individual bays with the words "Disabled Bay" painted on the road alongside the bay. Any driver correctly displaying a Blue Badge and clock is entitled to park in the bay. Blue Badge holders can also park in any shared use bay in the Borough when correctly displaying an Blue Badge.

Requesting a disabled parking bay on your road

If you are a Blue Badge holder, we want to help you park near to where you live. If you do not have a driveway or garage to park in, you can apply for a disabled parking bay to be set up on the road as close to your house or flat as possible.

Download a disabled parking bay application form (pdf) Please read the guidance notes on the second page of the form before completing it.

Or fill in the online disabled parking bay application form

Hammersmith & Fulham Council does not allocate disabled parking bays to individuals as we operate within the National Blue Badge Parking Scheme. This means all the disabled bays in the borough are for use by any Blue Badge holder.

Please note, if you apply for a bay we will pay for you to have an independent medical assessment so that we can find out more about your disability. From when we receive an application it can take up to five months for a bay to be installed as legally we must consult the emergency services and transport groups.
