ContactPoint
ContactPoint is a key element of the Every Child Matters programme to transform children's services by supporting more effective prevention and early intervention.
ContactPoint is one of a range of tools that will help services work together more effectively on the frontline to meet the needs of children, young people and their families. You can read more about integrated working on the Every Child Matters website.

ContactPoint will be the quick way for a practitioner to find out who else is working with the same child or young person, making it easier to deliver more coordinated support. It will be a basic online directory and available to authorised staff.

Work has been progressing nationally and at local levels for the last two years, to plan for developments and leading to the implementation of ContactPoint. The new service will be phased in all local authorities over the next few years.
Currently there are two ContactPoint positions that are based in the Planning and Performance Unit, Children’s Services Department at Cambridge House 1st Floor.
