Adults Rights

This service promotes the rights of all adult service users who use any of the services provided by the social services department in Hammersmith & Fulham.

If service users experience any difficulties with a service which is provided by social services, the Adults Rights Officer can:

  • make enquiries on behalf of adult service users to the manager of the service they receive, raise any concerns they may have about that service
  • act as an advocate on behalf of adult service users. This includes direct support which can take the form of writing letters, making telephone calls and attending meetings to ensure that a service users views are represented.
  • act as a negotiator on a service users behalf. This means that the Adult Rights Officer will act for the service user and represent their views and wishes in discussions to work to find a resolution to any difficulties.
  • support service users in telling social services about any problems they may have experienced with a service.
Opening hours: Office Hours
